Wordless Wednesday

I found a great site called picnik, I have always wanted photoshop, but it's pricey, this site has alot of altering tools and my photos turned out great and the best part is it's FREE...see my frugalness is making its way into my scrapbooking life.

Cheap or even Free

Maybe you all have been wondering where my layouts have been, no I haven't stopped scrapbooking. Scrapbooking is my passion and hobby and I love it, but during the summer I just can't seem to find the time. My kids stay up much later and by the time I get everyone in bed I am beat and usually go to bed myself. I have been keeping busy with couponing, I love it. I really like making a game out of going to the store these days. How little can I actually spend? On a recent trip to CVS my bill was 125.00 and I spent out of pocket $22.00 and today I just realize they charged for 9 shampoos and I only got 8 so it would have only been 18.00. Here is a picture:
okay so I got:
8 loreal pro vive shampoo - $40
3 12 pk pepsi (only 2 are shown)- 9
1 12 pk siera mist -3
2 packs of diapers -12
1 wipe -2
1 baby shampoo -2
6 trident gum - 9
2 dasani water -3
4 all small and mighty - 26
2 lysol spray -7
2 dove chocolate -7
1 loreal pro vive shampoo- 5 (that they charged me for but I didn't buy)

Can you believe that all this only cost 22.00? All the shampoo (expect the 9th bottle they charged me for) and the gum were free, because I had a BOGO coupon and the store was having a bogo (buy one get one free) sale. So that means free to me!!!! I just can't believe that all these years I have been buying this stuff and generic to boot, when you could get it free or for pennies. My kids are so excited to be eating name brand cereal and let me tell you we have a lot of cereal. Enough about my deals this week, next week I'll be back to let you know how I did at Giant and see if I am any closer to my goal of spending 100 a week for groceries. This is my short term goal, my next goal is to get it down to 60 a week for a family of 6. It can be done my friends. Okay I'm off to find a little girl who has just disappeared, crawling is so over-rated, nothing is safe in this house anymore. :-)

Fun Times

One thing to do in the summer is go to amusement parks, and who doesn't love a good roller coaster. Last weekend we went to Delgrosso Amusement Park, now it's not the biggest park in the world, but the kiddo's did have a good time. Aly even enjoyed riding the Merry-go-round. Nate was upset when we left, but boy was it hot. This weekend we have another trip planned we are going to Knoebles Grove and then staying in a hotel for the night and this is the talk of the house. I am hoping the heat dies down a little, because I am not a big fan of hot summers. But I am not going to complain because before I know it snow will be on the ground. (not a happy thought)
She rode this and the train, she just doesn't understand that you need to sit on the rides, yet, so maybe next year.

I do have more pics, but blogger is giving me problems right now, so hopefully I'll be able to get more up soon. Until later....

One more Thing.....

Happy Birthday MOM.....

We Love you!!!!!!

Gotta Love FREE!!!!!

Since I started on my new journey of frugalness, I have found that are an abundant amount of free things out there. Walmart has free samples and usually with the sample comes a coupon for the product. Check the list weekly because they are always adding new things. Also if you check out Freebies 4 Mom she usually has a list of free stuff. I ask who doesn't like or love something free. Here is what I got in the mail this week. I even got a coupon for Luvs for $5.00, whoohoo.

I am surprised at how much money I have been saving, now I am not spending $60.00 a week to feed a family of six yet, this is my goal, but I have lowered our grocery bill dramatically. I am very excited about this. I have even started to stockpile things. If you don't know what this is, it's where you buy something very cheap and buy several, that way you don't have to buy it at regular price. To tell you the truth it's fun, I like to shop, and I like to get a deal, now add in coupons, pure joy. Even my kids have fun when we go to CVS and get $50.00 worth of stuff for .13, yes you read that right 0.13. It so great to pay for my order with pocket change.

Right now I taking an e-class from Money Saving Mom and I am learning a lot. I would definitely recommend this class, if you want to learn how to save money on groceries and other household items.

Have a great day I have to go sort some coupons. :-)
